It is frustrating for both of us but we're trying to stay positive. At least the sun is shining and the view is good.

This is the blog of Pixie and her grand voyage, that's Pixie below. The plan is to sail from her home on the south coast around Scotland and back again. Pixie is a Sadler 32, thirty two feet of fibreglass with Pixie on the side and pixies on the bow, powered by the wind (and a big red diesel engine) she is the perfect boat for us. We are Kirsty and Graham. Kirsty is a director of a PR agency and Graham takes photographs for various sailing and motorboat magazines
Hi you two. We are so enjoying the blog, don't worry about the failures, frustrating though they are. Its all part of it and yours are entirely normal so far. We always said ok, its not going to plan but something good and unexpected will turn up because of it, and it often did. Good choice on not going when the weather makes it uncomfortable too. We arrived back in Southampton this morning via the Queen Mary 2 after eight years away and were lucky enough to get invited to the bridge. Guess what, one engine was playing up and so was one of the radars, just like us! (Mind you they have 4 engines and 5 radars so no big deal to them).
ReplyDeleteKeep it up and fair winds,
Chill out and enjoy! Dave.
